On my latest fishing trip It got a little sloppy and we had to abandon the original plans and go to “plan B” which was getting out of the rough water by moving inshore and fishing some shallow wrecks. After catching a few barracuda we moved up on the flats and did some sharking. A great way to get out of the slop and still have plenty of action.
Fished with a great guy from Texas; Lyndon-it was a fun day on the water.
Spent the last few days fishing the Conch 27 way west on the Gulf of Mexico. Plenty of grouper, snapper, barracuda and permit. Offshore there have been some dolphin around.

Adam and Rana Martin had a great fishing experience catching 3 tarpon in the 100lb class on a 1/2 day trip. This was Rana’s first saltwater fishing trip and I think now she is “hooked”!
On two recent trips to the Marquesas we had great catches of grouper, snapper, cero mackerel, barracuda and sharks. Thank you to Paul Jakubowski and his sons and family friend for chartering me-it was great fun!
The Dennis Dilley family also had a great time and caught loads of fish on their trip. Thank you as well.

Run off the water the last few days by a massive weather system coming up from Cuba. My client Tom with a nice bonefish he caught last week before the weather moved in.
Fighting the wind and rain the last two days. There was still plenty of tarpon and permit around on the flats before it got nasty, The dolphin have seemed to thin out but yellowtail fishing is good as is the rockpiles for grouper and snapper.
A great 4 days tarpon fishing with you again this year Bob! I look forward to seeing you this June.
We’ve been hampered by high winds the last few days but the wind is dropping out and I feel confident that we will be casting flies at plenty of tarpon for the next month or so. There are also dolphin (mahi), grouper and snapper to catch as well.
